At Certified Tax Service, we are focused on providing high quality tax preparation at a reasonable rate. We will do everything we can to meet your expectations, and we work hard to get you all your money back.
We have been in business since 1976, serving nearly 600 West Michigan clients each year. We stay current on all new tax laws and are registered by the IRS as professional tax return preparers.
We are members of NATP and NSTP. We adhere to their Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. We guarantee accuracy. If there is an error on any return we prepare that is our fault, we will pay any penalties incurred.

What To Expect:
We operate on a dropoff/pickup system. This means that you will drop off your tax documents anytime during our open hours. We will sit down with you and go over any information that will be helpful in preparing your tax return. (If you are a returning customer, and are unable to drop-off during open hours, we do have a secure dropbox available 24/7)
After we’ve gathered all necessary information, you’ll go home and we’ll get to work on your tax return! You can expect a call from us 3-5 business days later with the results from your tax return. Come back to pick-up and sign your completed tax return at your convenience. Once signatures and payment for preparation are complete, we e-file the return for you.
If you use direct deposit, you can expect your return in 10-14 days. If you choose not to do this, then the return will be mailed to you in 6-8 weeks.
If you owe the IRS and/or State, we will give you a voucher to send in with a check or money order. This is due by April 15.
